The Praying Black Bear
No....not really a praying bear!! This shot was taken in Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mtns. NP. I spent almost 1 1/2 hours watching this sow black bear and her 3 cubs!! They were all in the tops of the 2 big cherry trees on the side of Hyatt Lane eating wild cherries. It was an awesome experience and I thank God for sharing it with me. Finally someone else saw them and in just a few moments there was a huge crowd of people, which made the bears very nervous and they came down from the trees to retreat to the tall grass field during the confusion and nervousness she had became seperated from one of her cubs and stood up out of the tall weeds to smell/check the air for the cub. And she is wet from the dew off of the grass. All comments welcome.
